Hello, I’m Johanna!
For the last 20 years I have been training dogs for police, military, private organizations, and families. In early 2020, I moved from Germany to the United States to join my husband, Jacob who I met while training dogs for the U.S. Military in Germany.
Jacob is also a certified dog trainer, handler and currently PEDD-E instructor [Patrol Explosive Detector Dog - Enhanced Course] for Military Working Dogs since many years for the U.S. military.
Most of the time you will find countless dogs at our house for different training purposes. We currently have four dogs living with us. Shiva, a Pit Bull Terrier, Fritz, a Brittany, and Harko, a Belgian Malinois and Günther, another Brittany.
My retired K9 Harko is my former dual purpose police dog for protection and explosive detection.
Günther is my newest addition to the pack. He is an American Brittany and will compete in confirmation, hunting and dog sports.
Fritz is my new demo dog. He is very promising and I’m looking forward to work with him.
My Methods
I like to use positive re-enforcement training methods to work with dogs, but I also know that this is not suitable for every situation. Every dog and their needs are different. I do customized trainings for each dog and owner.

Competitive Dog Sport
I've been competing in IGP dog sport (tracking, obedience and protection) since 2000. I have trained & certified countless dogs for myself and others.
Some of the titles I have achieved in Europe are BH, AD-Int., IPO 1-3, BGH.
SV Certified
In 2000 I became certified through the SV (Verein für Deutsche Schäferhunde e.V.) Germany as a dog handler. In 2006 I received my instructor license as a certified dog trainer as well as my decoy license from SV.
K9 Unit, Federal Police Germany
The past 13 years I have worked for the Federal Police Germany as a K9 dog handler. I became certified through the Federal Police Germany for protection and explosive detection dogs.
AKC Certified
Evaluation Trainer
I received my Evaluation Trainer Certification through AKC (American Kennel Club). I'm certified to prepare and test your dog for "AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy", "AKC Canine Good Citizen", "AKC Community Canine" (advanced level), "AKC Urban Canine Good Citizen" (in cities), as well as "AKC Trick Dog".
Additionally I received my certification to be an AKC Temperament Tester.
First Aid & CPR Instructor
It’s incredibly important to know what to do when dogs or cats become injured. In these courses, you’ll learn how to react to the injuries while getting your pet safely to the vet.
